This website is operated by The Sugar Cookie. Throughout the site, the terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to The Sugar Cookie.  The Sugar Cookie offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/or purchasing from us, you engage in our "Service" and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions ("Terms & Conditions", "Terms of Service" Terms"), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms & Conditions apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services. If these Terms & Conditions are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms & Conditions.

Credit Card Policy

If the card declines, your order will not be processed until a new and valid credit card is provided.

Minimum Order

All orders require minimum quantities per item as listed on the item web pages.

Cancellations

We allow cancellation of an order within 24 hours of purchase.  Our product is highly customized, and can not be reused for another customer.  After 24 hours we allow design changes only.


Printing Limitations

The Sugar Cookie reserves the right to refuse to print any copy that may be considered harassing, profane or abusive in nature.

Product Colors

Product colors shown throughout this web site may vary slightly from actual products due to inherent limitations in monitor settings.

Typographical Errors and Omissions:

The Sugar Cookie attempts to be as accurate as possible. However, should a typographical error or omission occur, and the correct version was submitted during ordering, at our discretion, The Sugar Cookie may issue a credit, shipping refund, ship another order free and/or refund the order entirely.

Back Ordered Items

On the rare occasion that a product supplier becomes back ordered, items are shipped as soon as they become available. Email notification will be sent to customers who have purchased an item that includes a back ordered item to discuss other arrangements and/or options.  Options include cancelling a back ordered item order, upgraded shipping or choosing another item that is available for immediate shipping.

Shipping

The Sugar Cookie ships throughout the United States using FedEx as our third party shipping carrier with exception to "Cookie Card" orders.  Cookie Card orders are shipped USPS (United Postal Service.)   See below for important information regarding USPS shipments.  We do not add handling fees or additional costs to shipping rates.  Orders are shipped Monday through Thursday, except on US Major Holidays.  

- Processing Time

Processing times begin the day AFTER receipt of your order or approved artwork/proof.  Normal Processing time is 3-5 days with an ADDITIONAL 3 day shipping time.  BUSINESS DAYS DO NOT INCLUDE SATURDAY OR SUNDAY.  Orders during peak periods, (such as Holidays) and larger orders may require more time.  SHIPPING TIME IS IN ADDITION TO OUR PROCESSING (PREP) TIME.  We encourage you to order well in advance of your event date to avoid delays caused by shipping or product availability.

- Mishandled Packages

Our sugar cookies are carefully packed to ensure the quality and freshness of our product. We take extra care when packaging to see that they get to you safely.  We are NOT responsible for any damage occurred during shipping as this is the shipping carrier's responsibility. Rarely, some breakage of the may occur during transport and we may, at our discretion, establish a claim with FedEx on your behalf for refund of the cost of the order or broken cookies.  We may also resend replacement cookies should your claim be approved.  Please be prepared to submit photos of the damaged cookies.  Refund requests will be subject to the carrier's timeline and discretion.

- Delays, Lost Packages & Returns

Due to the perishable, personalized nature of our products, The Sugar Cookie does not accept returns.  There are no returns or exchanges.   Shipments that are returned or require rerouting due to incorrect addresses will be subject to additional charges for reshipment and/or relabeling for FedEx. Shipping charges will not be refunded for late deliveries in the event the business is closed or if the recipient is not available to receive the package.  Rarely, packages are lost or stolen in transit. We cannot be liable for packages once they have been delivered to the carrier. We cannot be responsible for any refunds on lost or stolen packages, weather issues and/or acts of nature. If your shipment is lost, stolen or undelivered, we may, at our discretion, establish a claim with FedEx on your behalf for refund of shipping and/or insurance costs.  However, we are not obligated to pass the claim refund to you.  Should a loss ever occur, reimbursement will be at our sole discretion.  Claims are subject to FedEx timeline and guarantees.  Additionally, we are not responsible if we are provided an incorrect or incomplete shipping address. Please double check all addresses before submitting them.

- Warm Weather

Most orders require a signature to ensure that cookies are not left unattended in the sun or weather elements.  Please ensure that someone available to sign for your package.

- USPS Shipping

We cannot guarantee when an order will arrive UNLESS FedEx is the shipping carrier chosen.  We will not refund orders sent via USPS Priority or Express Mail.  USPS Priority or Express Mail. The carrier is responsible for the order when we release the package to them and we will not be held liable if they lose, damage or fail to deliver on time.  No exceptions.  The Sugar Cookie will not be held responsible for any delays caused by shipping company error or international customs agencies and inspections.

However, The Sugar Cookie does not warrant that product descriptions or other content of this site is error-free.  Occasionally there may be information on our site or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).
